There is currently one (1) opening for the Principal Information Technology Analyst.

What You’ll Do:
• Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for the Enterprise Geographic Information System (EGIS) environment within the GIS Services Team.
• Plan, develop, implement, maintain, and administer enterprise GIS infrastructure and applications.
• Manage and support the ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise platform, including:
   o ArcGIS Portal
   o ArcGIS Server and Image Server
   o Spatiotemporal Big Data Store
   o ArcGIS Monitor
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise geodatabases utilizing PostgreSQL, Oracle and/or SQL Server.
• Administer and support GIS application development in alignment with organizational needs.
• Provide technical guidance and support to staff and stakeholders on GIS-related systems and solutions.

Schedule: 9/80. Start times are no earlier than 6 a.m. and end times no later than 6 p.m.

 

Hybrid: Metropolitan’s current practice in this position is a hybrid work schedule. This typically includes two days a week in person and the other days remote. This is subject to change dependent on organizational needs. In addition, a telework policy is scheduled for negotiations and once completed and implemented, will provide final direction on the hybrid schedule.

 

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education and Experience:  Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related) from an accredited college or university and eight years of increasingly responsible experience, of which two years must have been at the Senior Programmer Analyst or Senior Systems Analyst level.

 

Increasingly responsible experience is defined as: a combination of experience performing software design, implementation and integration of which 2 years must have been at the Senior GIS Analyst or Senior Information Systems Analyst level. 

 

 

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.

 

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • ETL / data processing automations (e.g., Python, Batch Scripts, Scheduled Tasks)
  • SQL database administration including writing complex SQL code
  • Custom web tools for geoprocessing in web applications (e.g., Web Tools, Custom Geoprocessing Services)
  • Manager of databases, servers and applications
