As the Senior Engineering Technician of the Operations Projects and Asset Management Unit, you will use initiative and resourcefulness to help lead the development and implementation of the newly initiated Asset Management Program. You will leverage your skills as a technical specialist in asset management to conduct asset management planning, progress reporting, benefits tracking, and benchmarking of practices and concepts; support the development of standardized processes and procedures related to condition assessment, data collection and management, and asset performance analytics; develop and implement risk management processes; conduct life cycle modeling; recommend and implement procedures to forecast and prioritize infrastructure asset renewals; utilize modern business intelligence tools; and function as a key leader in assisting with change management activities.
The Senior Engineering Technician will represent the Water System Operations Group to support the development, management, coordination, and acceptance of multiple or multi-year Capital Improvement Projects and Operations Projects. You have some contact outside of Metropolitan and will be of moderate to high visibility and sensitivity to Metropolitan in the area of its core business initiatives.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: High school diploma or certificate of high school equivalency, and two years of accredited college or university in engineering and eight years of relevant experience, of which two years must have been at the Engineering Technician III level.
Examples of college or university course work in Engineering include: Engineering, Science, Math, and etc.
Responsible Experience is defined as: experience in collecting and analyzing infrastructure asset data using software applications; and developing and evaluating business processes in the area of: infrastructure asset management AND/OR utility management AND/OR maintenance engineering AND/OR reliability engineering.
