  • The Part-Time Student Intern (Real Estate) position, working for the Planning and Acquisition Unit of the Real Property Group, will receive training and mentoring while assisting with real property responsibilities for water supply, conveyance, and storage; and infrastructure reliability and protection projects.

     

    METROPOLITAN'S REAL PROPERTY GROUP WILL BE HOSTING A STUDENT OUTREACH EVENT.

     

    This event is a chance for college students to learn about public agencies and the right of way industry, Metropolitan's role and work in the field, and our student internship program.

     

    The event will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020, from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM at Metropolitan’s Headquarters in Downtown, Los Angeles. RSVP’s are strongly recommended. Attending this event is encouraged but not mandatory for this job posting.

    EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    Education and Experience:  Current enrollment in an accredited four-year college or university carrying a minimum of 12 semester units or 8 quarter units with junior or senior standing in a related major and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or current enrollment in an accredited graduate degree program in a related major with a grade point average of 2.75 or higher.  


    CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
    License(s):  May be required to obtain and maintain the following:

    Valid California Class C Driver License or equivalent that allows you to drive in the course of your employment is required at the time of application.

     

    Work Schedule: Full time during the summer break and part time (up to 18 hours per week) during the school year based on student class schedule, availability and employer needs with a maximum of 960 hours per fiscal year.

     

    Anticipated estimated end date of assignment: Length of term will be determined based on student class schedule, availability and employer needs and will range from three months to eleven months.

     

    Pay Rate:
    $15 per hour if a Junior in college
    $18 per hour if a Senior in college or a Graduate Student
